An address in Gothenburg, Stora Nygatan 17B ( Node: 17B Stora Nygatan (2150984532) | OpenStreetMap ) is locally and unofficially known as Stora Nygatan 17 ½ – Wikipedia . The strange naming is a result of erecting the building in the mid 19th century. Too late it was discovered that it was built on two plots and only one street number, 17, was available. The modern schema is a alfabetical division but the old 17 1/2 lives on locally.
I would like to tag it in a similar way as loc:name but not really sure how.
Would users expect to be able to use “Stora Nygatan 17 ½” in the same manner as an official address, or does it only live on as a name for the building?
I dont think we have a rule that we only add “Official Housenumbers”
At least in Germany there are official housenumbers issued by the local administration. But all the infrastructure companys like Electricity, Telecoms also have additional addresses for their infrastructure like service buildings etc.
As at least in most parts of the world addresses are construction hierarchically by some rules these addresses also work by letting Humans distinct the rough location.
I’d simply add it as an address and you may add some addr:note/node:addr or something.
