Howdy! I haven’t used the forum before, so apologies if I’m in the wrong space. I was tagging details near the Storm King Ranger Station in Olympic National Park, where there are two parking spaces: one for just cars and another for cars pulling a trailer for the boat launch. Way 183783788 is the parking lot reserved boat launches, but nothing in the data says that. Could someone please instruct me on how to, or if there even is a common method of, marking the parking lot as special-use like this?
Hi Daniel.
No, here is fine!
The ones I’ve seen are usually only tagged as “carparks” e.g. Way: 559341935 | OpenStreetMap
You could further specify it to be boat trailers only by designated=*, probably as =trailer Key:trailer - OpenStreetMap Wiki, as that’s about the only option that Key:access - OpenStreetMap Wiki lists!
TagInfo says that there are currently 7 uses of parking=boat & 1 of paking=boat_trailer, so yu could also copy that?
Thank you for the response! I think that I’ll leave it as is then, but thank you for your time as well!

For these kind of “miscellaneous things that someone looking at an element might want to know,” you could also put something meaningful in a description tag.
