How to tag opening hours as appointment only or during events?

A business I’m tagging is an arts venue that is only open by appointment or during events. How can I tag this?

If you know more:
opening_hours=Mo-Fr "by appointment or per event schedule" || "per event schedule"

I doubt pipes (“||”) between 2 strings does much.

"by appointment" has faint, very faint, chance of having support

supported string unioned with other unsupported string has slight chance for special support that single unparsable string definitely would not have

Not sure about “slight”. I guess it’s not “tagging for the renderer” as there is none. “by appointment” is mainly an explanation why we don’t provide opening_hours when we do for other similar amenities.

In the meantime, the format breaks opening_hours evaluation tool and likely every other tool.

Well, neither form is likely to be machine-readable and I expect nearly all (or all) tools to be unable to handle either.

Though if tool claims that variant with || is invalid OH syntax then tool has outright bug.
