What’s the canonical way to tag an Urgent Care?
amenity=clinic
, I think. Here they’re basically just a type of “walk-in clinic”.
But is there a way to distinguish an urgent care from other types of clinics?
In Poland I see some
amenity=clinic
emergency=yes
And
healthcare=emergency_ward
that ATYL used several times in Poland and few times elsewhere, see overpass turbo
I’m not opposed to using:
amenity=clinic
specialty=urgent_care
Even if it’s not documented that makes sense to me. It’s a clinic that specializes in urgent care needs.
Are they usually named that way e.g. This Town Urgent Care Clinic?
A bit blurry because I was on the other side of a divided highway but yes in the United States at least urgent care tends to be prominent in the name:
Is “urgent care” the same as what we call “Accident & Emergency” in the UK? If so, then healthcare:speciality=emergency may be what you’re looking for.
From the linked Wikipedia article:
In the United Kingdom, urgent treatment centres (also called walk-in centres or minor injury units)…
…they take patients who may not need the facilities of the Accident and Emergency Department, but can be transferred from one to the other if necessary. They are intended to divert patients from the A&E departments, which are under great pressure.
Do these have an established tagging scheme in the UK?
