How to tag a conference center (or centre ... take your pick)

I am tagging POIs in my area, and there is a conference center. There is a Proposed features/Conference Centre, which precisely matches what I want. There is, however, no activity on its talk page. Is there much point in using a non-standard tag? If not, how do you suggest that I tag it?

There is probably not much talk, because there is not much to talk about. (Except by the people who dislike putting anything under amenity.) So I’d say just go ahead and use the tag.

You won’t get a pretty icon on most maps, but…

If you’ll also tag the name and the address, then at least it could be found by search engines.
