Is there an easy method to split a relation? I am updating cycle routes in Scotland where they have been removed from the National Cycle Network but are still part of a promoted cycle route. I have done this for Oban to Campbeltown, removing NCN78 and adding Caledonia Way (CW). This took over an hour and may have introduced a few errors, so it would be much simpler if I can split the relation then rename and reclassify as a regional route.

Relations are a lot easier to work with in josm - if you needed to split a route relation into two parts you could duplicate the existing relation and then delete the sections from each that need to be removed.
