There is a path where street lamps used to provide light during the night for a path in the forest.
Now these street lamps are never lit anymore (for nature protection) and are kept only for the historical value.
Just wondering, is there a way to indicate this, for example with the tag disused=yes?

Rather than adding disused=yes, you could add a lifecycle prefix and change them to something like disused:highway=street_lamp.
If they have particular merit, e.g. artistic or technical, then consider adding historic=yes.
If they still carry on another function, e.g. as power poles, then add / retain that tagging.
Yeah that’s a question on whether =street_lamp is functional or physical. It isn’t “street light pole” or “street light fixture”, so disused:highway=street_lamp refers to the lamp.
Others can easily have man_made=utility_pole + disused:*= (+ disused=yes )

The street lamps are of importance for that path since they gave the name to the path (Laternenweg).
Therefore the steet lamps are now in my view decorative and have an historical value.
Does the disused tag still fit in that case?

disused: alone seems unsuitable for this, as they appear to be preserved.
There is a tag with a few uses that could work for this at taginfo historic=street_lamp
There is an open note/5457560 about the even older one at node/5527711721
They are stil street lamps so I do not believe the lifecycle prefix is correct.
How about using light:lit=off. light:litdoes not have it’s own wiki article but it is mentioned in the attributes table for highway=street_lamp. As opening_hours syntax is allowed off on its own simply means always off. According to TagInfo it is already used almost 400 times.
Just as a bus stop with no bus service, I would personally consider a street lamp that never lights a trolltag when tagged with the main highway key.
A former parking area where parking is never allowed for anyone is also not an amenity=parking anymore.
disused: fits the description here: “features that are in a reasonable state of repair but which are currently unused”
I guess it depends on whether you see street lamp more as a physical structure or as light-giving amenity.
For me (as trolltag term inventor) both would be viable tagging methods.
disused:*= is the existing status. It’s independent of whether something is “preserved”.
historic= features can be actively used. This alone doesn’t answer what to do with the highway=street_lamp yet.
Thinking about quantities, I’ve not seen or mapped many disused street lamps. That said, I should map the one at the end of map street. :) There is a park in the city centre that uses various designs of old lighting columns as ornamentation.
Locally, the following tagging has been applied:
disused:highway=street_lamp
man_made=utility_pole
disused:highway=street_lamp
disused:lamp_type=electric
disused:support=pole
Other options:
that I would expect to mean nonexisting and gone street lamp, what was at a given location, temporarily kept into OSM as it is visible on high quality aerial
Damn, I was wondering why it’s always so dark there.
I didn’t map them all, many are missing I think. But you seem to have walked them for panormax. 
Could it be that this was the lanterns at the top, towards the restaurant?
If I have it correctly in mind, these laterns at the top are managed by the restaurant and are still in use.
