How to even start mapping?

im new here, im almost always in Cairo, Egypt and i wish to map the things there, but how do i even do that?

Simply have a look around at what’s already mapped (or not!), & see what you can add or tidy up.

Africa - OpenStreetMap Community Forum would probably also be a good place to say Hi & get in touchwith other local mappers.
