How to download offline maps into GosMore Linux/raspbian?

I just downloaded GosMore in my Raspberry Pi. The software runs normally, but when I search for places, the map is blank. Can you tell me how to download a city/country map for raspbian or linux, if downloading in linux and raspbian is the same.

And, my Raspberry Pi does not have a gps device attaced to it. Will this make any difference?

Any help will be appreciated!

The development og Gopsmore seesm to be stalled for yoears already.

So I can only recommend to create an installation of Gosmore on a normal Linux system, and when you have success on a normal desktop PC, try to transfer your workflow on your Pi.
