How to display OSM data in a mobile device

Hi, all. I am a newbie in this field, and i want to display the OSM data in a mobile device, so I am wondering if there is any open source library API that i could use to develope an application which would be installed on a mobile device, such as the PDA or Mobile phone? Any suggestion will be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
