How to Add Shops Using iD Editor?

I’m new to OSM and want to add shops (like cafes) in my area using the iD editor. What tags should I use for shop names and types? Any tips to avoid mistakes? Thanks!

All you really need to do in iD is select a preset (like Supermarket, Butcher, etc.) then fill in the details it asks.

And if it’s part of a chain that’s famous enough it might have a brand preset

If you edit the first time you get offer to go through tutorial.

From what I remember it explains how to add such objects (among other basic operations)
