How do I see the change history for one element?

How do I see the change history for one element? The specific example of interest right now is the “Lost Hedgehog Trail” on Grand Monadnock aka Mount Monadnock. Ideally it would be easy to see the change history, so if someone wants to revert my changes they can at least read my reason for making the change. In fact I am reverting to the way it was a year or 3 ago, and I would like to see the reason it changed.

What editor are you using? In JOSM you can select the object then CTL-H is a shortcut to get you the history.

I am using the inbrowser editor. I am pretty sure that it used to show me more data, like in one case the source which was Strava.

There are a few History Viewers online i.e.:

Other tool merging these tools above:

You can find more tools on WIKI

Right now I’m using nice tool - script Better osm.org for WebBrowsers (plugin Violentmonkey or similar is required). Below is a picture, how it presents history of this way:

You likely know this, but keep in mind that the source for an object is not always provided by the contributor. (Mappers can add source in an object’s tags, or in their changeset tags.) So some features may have a specific source, and some may not.

The answer is: In the lower left corner of the mapview in edit mode, is a link labelled “View on openstreetmap.org” which opens the history for the selected element.
