How can I use OpenStreetMap as a dataset in OpenMap?

Hi,
I’m building an application using OpenMap ( http://openmap.bbn.com/ ) with PostGIS.
I need vector data to make calculations, is OSM suitable for this or is it just raster?
If yes, is there a tutorial to do so?

The only vector format I’ve found is SVG.

OSM is only vector, there is no bitmap data :-). Osm2pgsql is a tool to convert osm data into a posgis database…
