Hide symbols in OSM

Dear reader

Is it possible to hide the symbols such as parkings, shopping centra, … on an Open Straat Map. If the answer is positive, how can I do so?
I tried with ‘Hide overlays’ but that does’nt work.

OSM is a Geographical Information System, in other words, it is a mapping database. What you are seeing is one person’s choice of what and how to show some of that data. You have a desire for a different choice of data and perhaps a different style of presentation. Go learn how to do that.

Hi and welcome to OSM and the forum

As OverThere alread mentioned: OSM is just a database. The map you see in OSM.org is an example of what you can do with the data.

Check https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OpenPoiMap if this fit your demands.
