Help with disapearing Islands at different zoom level

Good day,

I am a new OSM contributor and I am just starting to learn how to edit the maps. I have noticed a few large islands in my area that are disappearing at certain zoom levels.

The Islands in questions are all large islands and are relatively close to each other. I am wondering how hard it would be to have someone fix this. I don’t know enough yet to attempt this task by myself.

The problem islands:

Amherst Island, Ontario, Canada
Wolfe Island, Ontario, Canada
Howe Island, Ontario, Canada
Grindstone Island, New York, USA

I don’t mind learning so if anyone who knows how to fix this would like to contact me to explain how to do it, I could give it a shot.

Thanks for your help.

Are those islands part of a multipolygon? I.e. with the “inner” role in a “water” area?

I’m new to this and I’m not sure what that means so I can’t answer that question. :frowning:

Well, the answer is “yes”
The islands are part of the multipolygon “Lake Ontario”. It looks to me as if the outer shoreline of the Lake is not closed at the moment.
But the relation is very big, and I don’t want to spoil the work of someone else.

By the way, this topic has nothing to do with Development, and should be solved by the local community on the Canada or United States Forum.

HTH,
