Are you sure you’re allowed to use the attached pdf for the ferry routes?
Also, I think it would be better if you reached out to some local mappers who know the language. I am focused on Denmark for now.

If Şehir Hatları copyrighted this data, you cannot use it.
In these cases, I try to find open data sources. For instance, haritakaynak’s resources page is a good place to start. They list IBB data portal as an open data source. When I checked IBB’s data portal, I found the ferry lines data set, and the page says it was updated on 04/02/2025. Quite up to date. I am going to check if IBB’s licence is compatible with OSM. If it is, and if I have time, I can help you to update the data.
I think this kind of work is a small project on its own, and some research and planning is needed before diving into it and adding, editing and deleting data on the map.

@AnanasSuvyu I’ve checked, the data provided by İBB is licensed under Creative Commons BY 4.0, which can only be used if they sign a waiver document.
I will contact some local mappers to see if anyone has attempted to contact İBB about this. Hopefully we’ll have them sign the document for the datasets we can use.
But until then, please continue your regular contributions, and do not delete the ferry lines, or add new ones. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.

As i dont understand, osm serves the data to public and this way disclaims the copyright of data. So isnt this means we shouldnt sign a document because osm is already copylefting the data?
Do you mean as a contributor? When we signed up for an account, we agreed to waiving our rights on the data we contribute

BTW, I’ll attempt contacting the relevant authorities in İBB. However, I don’t expect much progress anytime soon, considering all the stuff happening at the moment

They didnt give any information about the licence. They just said its okay to use the information in the link i gave above

It is an open licence, but not every open licence is compatible with OpenStreetMap. So, what their corporate support team say to you is not important. The ferry lines data is still licensed under CC BY 4.0. See the licence page:

Again, Creative Commons BY 4.0 is not fully compatible with OSM.
There’s a document the responsible person or department has to sign. I asked a friend to see if they know whether anyone has attempted to send that document to IBB. I don’t know for sure, but I assume there have been multiple attempts, and because IBB is not listed in the Contributors page, I also assume IBB have never agreed to sign that document.
I have translated that document to Turkish, and the first draft is here. If you want, you can send this to IBB following the contact information they provide here. I think this request should be made to “İBB Bilgi İşlem Dairesi Başkanlığı”
