Gpx import virker ikke?

Er er noget galt med gpx import?

Har prøvet mange filer nu får bare.

Det ser ud til, at din fil ikke blev importeret som en GPS-sporing.

Dine filoplysninger:

Filnavn

GribskovMaarum4.gpx

“drag and drop” virker hos mig.

Det er på denne side OpenStreetMap

Det har jeg ikke prøvet.

These changes haven’t happened yet. Are these large .gpx files like in this discussion?

Less than 300kb, a 12kb fail too.

A 12 kb file failing means this is not the size problem from the other thread ( .gpx upload trouble ). The file got uploaded fine, the import failed after that.

Could you paste the error from the failure email?. And if you can share GribskovMaarum4.gpx (or any small one that fails), I can test it locally.

You can dl it from Gribskov, Mårum 4 - udinaturen.dk cant share gpx files here.

I think the problem is that the GPX file from “Ude i Naturen” has no timestamps in the points.

However you can import the GPX file into iD editor or JOSM editor without any problems.

Ah, yes, the API does require a timestamp on each trackpoint.

Was working fine last time i did upload a gpx, for like 90 says ago.

Hm, not sure. I’m just going off of the API documentation. I’m not sure if that check is reliable. The code that processes .gpx uploads is fairly old and we’re looking into improvements that could include a rewrite of some of the functionality.

Did you record the GPX fil by yourself when you did upload last time with success?

Then there is a very good chance the GPX file has timestamps in points - GPX files upload at OSM has a requirement for timestamps in points.

Or did you download the GPX from the internet? - If yes do you have the URL for this download. So we can test it out.

Yes from my gps, upload worked, something must have changed.

I checked the file. It has 34 trackpoints and none of them has a tag. The importer skips points without a timestamp, so the trace ends with 0 points and you get the “not imported” email.

This is not new, the check has been there since 2008: openstreetmap-website/lib/gpx.rb at fb5f6bb4a206d9a41fda40ac83e71fe425947a45 · openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website · GitHub
