Hi,
why is it not possible to search for GPS traces in a special country, a region or at least a keyword ? If the traces are stored in any kind of database there will also be a possibility to create a search form.
Yesterday i tried to find a few traces in my country region and didn´t find anything usefull within 30 Minutes…
Did i miss anything (maybe a special search website) or is there no search function implemented right now ?

Seach by keyword (tags) works
http://openstreetmap.org/traces/tag/Finland
It finds just the tags users have desided to use, thus a lot of traces will not be found.
Because no one has implmented it, you are right the idea is pretty trivial that’s probably why no one has done it.
Ok… so the current search form is
http:// + openstreetmap.org/traces/tag/ + “the keyword you are looking for”
example
http://openstreetmap.org/traces/tag/aachen = show all traces related to the keyword “aachen”
That´s ok for me, i didn´t notice the url translation before.
I will now find what I´m looking for, thanks.
