Gemenskapsgranskning – ny MapRoulette-utmaning: Sweden - Accuracy Review of Toll-Related Features

Hello everyone,

A new MapRoulette challenge is available for community consultation: [Sweden - Accuracy Review of Toll-Related Features ](MapRoulette)– 129 tasks

Please note that the challenge is intentionally undiscoverable in MapRoulette which ensure that it can be accessed only via the direct link which is shared in this consultation.

The challenge focuses on toll-related features in OSM that may need to be added, updated, removed, or marked as no longer operational. A particular focus is ensuring the correct distinction between toll booths (barrier=toll_booth) and free-flow toll gantries (highway=toll_gantry), helping accurate representation, improving routing and toll-approaching warnings. Most of the situations relate to suggested updates or additions of toll gantries in the zone where the Stockholm Congestion Tax applies.

The tasks were created through a manual review by TomTom local mappers. Where available, primary sources were national toll operators and concessionaires’ data. Additional sources are existing OSM data, street-level imagery, operator information, and other available evidence. Each task instruction includes a suggested action and tagging proposal. It is provided to support assessment but, the final verification would independently rely also on local knowledge, imagery and relevant OSM wiki guidance for every case before making any edits.

We welcome all comments and suggestions and are happy to adjust the challenge where appropriate based on community feedback.
Unless any concern is raised or the challenge is already completed, we plan to begin working on the challenge 15 days from the date of this post.

Thank you for your review and feedback,

Priscilla - TomTom

Hi!

I went ahead and corrected barrier=toll_booth to highway=toll_gantry as well as updated some details on the bridges with tolls in Sweden and the Stockholm congestion charge, so this challenge is pretty much done, though if someone wants to go through and double check it or add additional details that’s always welcome.

Thanks a lot for your action. We’ll update the status and closed the tasks that have been fixed accordingly.
