i’ve downloaded with jtieldownloader several tiles and copied in the … Mapnik/… folder. after a short time all tiles are deleted. not the folders.
how can I do it, to save tiles permanently?
is it the wifi wich deletes all the tiles?

I had the same problem even with Wi-Fi Off and Data Off. Didn’t find a solution. Stopped using background. Drawback of tiles: to create them a lot of time, to store them a lot of space is required. See also German forum. Several other reported there not having this problem.
