Hello. I am looking for free maps in high res that I can print out. Specifically in certain zip code. Does anyone know where I can find this? Everything I have found online cost money.
You should try out MapOSMatic. It’s a free web service for creating high quality printable maps from OSM data.
to get an overview about almost all possibilities, have a look in the OSM wiki about http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_on_Paper
Also do there a search for the page “Rendering”
A bunch of hints are also on http://help.openstreetmap.org … to a search there for “printed maps” or similar.
Another excellent tool (not mentioned on wiki) is MOBAC.
It can render big raster image from any tiles server .
