when displaying a map with a larger scale, all that is seen are road numbers, even if the minimum detail is selected.

Is there a possibility to deselect the roadnumbers?

the map is from http://garmin.na1400.info/routable.php, France. I’m using Map Source, Version 6.15.11

I’m using other tiles, the road numbers show in each of them.

Yogi, that is a prebuilt map and the behaviour is going to be determined by the parameters used to generate that map and your own GPS unit /Mapsource settings. The highway shields are part of the road and their appearance/disappearance cannot be controlled separately from the ways to which they are attached.
