The markers subjects / indications proposal is now open for voting. The vote will be open from today to February 17 12:00 CET.
It aims at sustainably describe to what nearby feature a given marker is referring, more particularly for utility markers.
Despite its focus, discussions allowed to find a generic solution, applicable to many other kinds of signage. I particularly thank @Minh_Nguyen and Kovposch for their contribution in this quest. Examples are provided for underground features.
Several other fields has been investigated (see rationale for boundaries or highways) and this tagging could be discussed beyond the extent of this proposal, if accepted.
