Extracting ski resort data

Hi all.

I want to extract the data from a ski resort map that allows me to list all the ski runs and ski lifts and plan out how they interconnect. Is this possible using openstreetmap and if so does anyone know how I might do it?

I have not done any ski mapping but there appears to be a page on the wiki listing tags related to pistes and an even more generic winter sports page.

Source code for OpenSnowMap, OpenSkiMap and the now defunct OpenPisteMap are also linked in the wiki.

There are various ways of extracting the data depending on how big an area you and and what you actually want to do with it.

I am a complete beginner and need some help in how to build up the extraction query and then use it within an app to help my plan days out skiing. It is all very confusing :face_with_spiral_eyes:
