Error when editing tags for already uploaded, and pending, traces

Hi,

Did a quick search around, and can’t see an answer to the following:

In trying to change the ‘Tags’ for a trace, in the ‘Edit Trace’ part of the openstreetmap sites trace uploading section, I get the following message:

*Application error
The OpenStreetMap server encountered an unexpected condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request (HTTP 500)
Feel free to contact the OpenStreetMap community if your problem persists. Make a note of the exact URL / post data of your request.
This may be a problem in our Ruby On Rails code. 500 occurs with exceptions thrown outside of an action (like in Dispatcher setups or broken Ruby code)
*

This is so for any of my gpx files, so the link is

cheers,
Ben

I was able to reproduce this with one of my traces. Since it is not completly clear in your post: It happens when you click the Save-Button, which results in the same URI but with HTTP-POST-Data.

I also had some problems with displaying Notes this morning (/browse/note/, which now works again), so maybe it’s just something temporary.

It has been happening since at least the 10th of September 2013, as this is when I first noticed it, however I don’t know about before that.

Ok, that’s a bit longer than “temporarily”. Maybe someone could forward this to an apropriate mailing-list (I guess there’s no one here who could fix that)?
