hi in the centre of the circle is what looks like a gate going across the highway, but it disappears at some zooms and I can’t find it in the edit section so I assume it’s some kind of software error. I tried realigning the dirt road near to it, but that didn’t do anything. Can anyone tell me what causes this software error?

It is not a bug in the data.
As far as I can see, two tiles (images) meet here and the bar, the “gate” seems to be an artefact from the ‘ref’ = “A90” of that road. One tile does not show it, the other tile shows only the lower 10% (or so) of the Icon. It is visible only at this particular zoom level.
