Editing track timestamps automatically

Hello, I want to contribute to OSM with some GPS tracks because is very easy for me. But I’m concerned about privacy and I would like to change the timestamps. I want to preserve the timestamps (better said, the relation between timestamps) but changing that date and time. I can do it editing manually the text in the GPX file but I’m looking for a simple automatic way of doing this.

For example, having these timestamps:
05/04/2018 12:41:35, 05/04/2018 12:41:40, 05/04/2018 12:41:45

I would like to get something like this:
08/02/2018 21:17:15, 08/02/2018 21:17:20, 08/02/2018 21:17:25

Is another date, another time, but the difference of timestamps between each other remains the same. So timestamp information is not lost.

GPSBabel can apparently do this.

The second time of your wish should be: 21:17:20

You’re right. I edited my question

Could you extend your answer a little more? I downloaded Gpsbabel and import the original track on it but the list of available formats I don’t see GPX, also I don’t know how to do the desired changes in the “translation”.

Thank you

Maybe you can find somr tools or hints in the OSM wiki

about https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Edit_GPS_tracks ?

Which format has your Track, if it is csv or similar you can use excel

GPX-tracks are always in XML-format.

I never changed timestamps myself before, but a search for “gpsbabel change timestamps” gave me

If you use the JOSM editor you can use the “editgpx” plugin.
It changes timestamps and gives you the oportunity to delete points easily. If the track starts at your home, for example.

sorry missread the X at the end
