Downloading tiles

Hello,

I have a Garmin receiver and use the OSM maps after conversion with mkgmap as IMGs that I load onto the receiver.
On Geofabrik.de you cab download maps in osm format of whole countries. Very nice. But what if you want cross-border maps? Where can I find a website that lets me choose the OSM tiles (not img tiles!) I want. Who can help me to get to such a site?

If you want to make the Garmin img for cross-border areas yourself you have to split the osm files yourself. Use the Europe extract at Geofabrik or what suits best to you.
