I struggled for a very long time to find a nice setup to use OSM data, process it using my framework of choice (ruby on rails) and then bring it to a fully selfhosted map. I finally found my happy path and choose to extract my learnings into a rough badly written article on X:
It’s not the best article. It skips a lot of stuff, but at the end you should have a stable long term solution to improve up on. It’s probably not the best way, but for me it was the path of least resistance and with maximum returns. It’s my current happy path.
