Creating a custom map with a fictional map background, in order to map an imaginary/fictional literary world

Hello, it’s all in the title…
I know that OpenStreetMap/uMap are designed to map reality, and we shouldn’t have fictional maps polluting the community’s real data. But since OSM is open source, is there a separate fork? This would allow the use of layer, marker, polygon, and path tools on imaginary personal maps in a different project?

For example, someone managed to do this in the “Game of Thrones Universe”, and you can clearly see the Google logo in the bottom left corner. This is a modified Google Maps project.
Could OpenStreetMap be used in the same way?

sorry for ma bad english, i use a translator.

Regards.

There is OpenGeofiction

OpenGeofiction

for such fictional maps but it requires to start from the scratch with whatever you want to see.

thanks, that’s exactly what I was looking for…

Yes, indeed, their project is already well-defined and locked in. Is there a list or references to projects parallel to OSM in the area that interests me?

GitHub : GitHub - geofictician/opengeofiction-website: HRATE = "High Resolution Alternative to Earth" (it's a backronym, an anagram of "EARTH"). This project adapts the Rails application that powers OpenStreetMap for geofiction (imaginary mapping). · GitHub

here i find a way that interests me, but it’s not easy… !

I have no idea, never used OpenGeofiction or looked for an alternative myself - I am still wasting my time with mapping the real world in OSM
