Someone in a biking forum would like to help with marking “Simun SHvilim” in OSM.
Defining the attributes of relations for marked trails is rather cumbersome for beginners.
Is there a way to copy an existing definitaion (like you do for simple objects using Shift-R in Potlatch), and just change the name?
Thanks
What you ask for is not possible, but added as feature request for potlatch.

So there is no easier way than manually tagging all of these:
Key
type
route
name
name:en
name:he
ref
network
operator
itc:type
kkl:type
osmc:symbol
Perhaps this person could just enter the minimal information based on which we could afterwards fit all the attributes. Such a minimum would include IMHO the marked color (possibly number and name, in any language). So for example he/she could create the relation with just the following:
route=hiking
fixme=yes
note=All the available info
and of course the members of the relation.
Then he/she would pass to us the OSM IDs of the relations (or simply his/her OSM username), and we would finish the job.
Also please note that entering Simun Shvilim into OSM must not rely in any way on the maps, but solely be based on personal/CC-by-SA-compatible knowledge (such as Wikipedia or online forums).
