Hi, I have an OSM note complaining that a Microsoft Map_builder has added incorrect information. If I make an original changeset comment or send the original editor a message - would they receive it and could they fix it using Map-Builder?
According to assurances from Microsoft when this was being implemented, yes.
However, the usual caveats apply - some Microsoft Map Builder users might not expect the map to “start talking back to them” and may just ignore messages, just like some other OSM editors. If you need to get in touch with someone and they’re ignoring you, drop the DWG a mail and we’ll see what we can do.
I think it also depends on the extent of mapping that has been done.
Sometimes people just change one thing (time) and never come back. Then you can try and reach out through a changeset comment but I wouldn’t worry too much and just try and see if I can fix it really quick myself.
The more worrisome would be a person that keeps making changes but doesn’t react when you try to reach out. That’s the point where I would involve the DWG. But they are always quite busy and volunteer their time as well so it’s the last thing I would try when nothing else works or if there is some immediate harm (like big vandalism).
Also Map Builder seems to be disabled now anyways

In case this is not about a generic user using map builder but someone bering part of. Microsoft’s Mapping Team, then you can also find contact information here

Thanks Andy and Hedaja,
I am relieved that Map Builder has been parked as it has never felt part of the OSM community. I’ve accepted the facts of the OSM Note and removed the offending node. Thanks again.
