Confusion on how to bridge a road

I use a bike computer called the Hammerhead Karoo which uses OpenStreetMaps for their mapping. Recently a change was made, causing a road to disconnect for cycling routing.

Seen below you can see how the trail ends and does not connect to the street/parking lot, confusing the routing. This used to be connected but it appears someone added sidewalks and cut off the connection.

What is the best way to fix this area? I almost enabled sidewalks as Bike able but that seemed sloppy. Additionally, trying to extend the MAPA trail to the parking lot didn’t seem possible as the sidewalks were connected.

Would appreciate help implementing this correctly.

Is there a legal way to cycle from Node: 5842539178 | OpenStreetMap to road? Or do you need to push bicycle to do it legally?

in any case it should be connected to the parking lane, which I’ve done now
I don’t see anything that prohibits cycling, but I’m not familiar with the area

Understood on link sharing. I kept having the link turn into a preview without the context of the coords so I went hacky. Will do it full next time.

Clicking on the preview leads to the same target as the original link, so that would also be fine. If you want to prevent the automatic conversion of links into previews, you can add < > around the URL.
