Recently a discussion started in the Italian group about the position of sports clubs that have no clear place of activity, as an example I’ve used a society where I help, a cycling club.
The legal office of the society is the home of the president, we train on two different tracks, one on a public road in an industrial zone and another one in the garden of a villa, where we have created a MTB course.
The problem in my opinion is that on the ground the three locations have no real signage except during training hours, so one hour for location for every week, and the only signage is the society car with the logo, so in this case what is the position of the club?
Someone in the group suggested to place it in the training place, but I objected since some clubs don’t even have a permanent track where they train and they use some public roads.
Also IMHO this should be clarified also on the wiki to make a standard on what to do in such situations to prevent misuse in future.
The problem is that on the wiki there isn’t such information, and someone might add such POIs on the map.
I wanted to check if there is any opinion on this and how to fix the information on the wiki page to establish a clear line.
I started the discussion in the Italian community, but my case is a little bit different. I have a node tagged with just “name=xx sport club”, but the XX sport club is the football club of a little village, they have a football camp where they train and play the home match, and probably they have a sign on the camp with the name of the team. In the website the team has an address that is probably the same as the camp. I raise the question because I want to know if the best thing is to delete the node or add the correct tag to it.
