Concerning who has the right to vote in the upcoming 2026 OSMF elections, it states:
All normal members and associate members (including members who joined via the active contributor membership program) have the right to vote provided that:
- they were a member or associate member throughout the period of 90 days4 prior to the date on which the meeting is held; and
- their membership account was not in arrears 7 days prior to the date on which the general meeting is held
4 90 days = Start date of your current membership is before 2026-07-19 in UTC, if the Annual General Meeting takes place on 17 October 2026, as scheduled.
I have a recently-lapsed membership, lapsing on 2026-06-29. I am now in a slightly better financial position to renew the membership. I have also been contributing to the map periodically throughout the past 12 months.
If I were to renew the membership, would that renewal satisfy the conditions to permit voting in this year’s elections? I would have been an active member for most of the period of 90 days, at least (and for the year-long period ending 2026-06-29), and not in arrears 7 days prior.
Or would I have needed to renew on or before 2026-07-19?
