I found an error in Qinghai-Tibet border and tried to fix it, but when I uploaded my changes to OSM, it just says:
Changeset size has been limited last year for new users (like you are), e.g. Add the ability to limit changeset size by tomhughes · Pull Request #4908 · openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website · GitHub
In general I suggest getting some practice with simpler elements before moving to boundaries (especially in disputed territories), which can be complicated because of relations ecc.
So does that mean I have to give up my commit? Can I load save the pending changes?
If you scroll further down under the Cancel
and Upload
buttons on the left of your screenshot, you will be able to download an osmChange
file.
Yes, I did see that, but I didn’t see anywhere to upload the osmChange file.
At least with JOSM you can open the osc
file. I don’t think it can be opened with iD yet.
It wouldn’t help as long as you are subject to the bounding box limit in any case.
So either you keep your edits till the limit is lifted or you ask someone to upload for you (but the editing won’t be on your account).
