We don’t think “Guangdong” is a sub-administrative region under “China”, we are just colonized, and the CPC has done many things that oppress us in Guangdong. On the other hand, Taiwan annexed the island that originally belonged to us. Guangdong is a great country and a tragic country. We hope you can treat Guangdong like Taiwan.

National borders are particularly sensitive. Currently, we record one set that, in OpenStreetMap
contributor opinion, is most widely internationally recognised and best meets realities on the
ground, generally meaning physical control. In areas without clearly defined borders, the line is
approximate. Our database structure enables mapmakers to easily ignore this set and
substitute another more appropriate to your needs.
Are there international passport checks when entering the Guangdong region? Do they send delegations to international organizations? What other countries have recognized Guangdong as being separate from China?

We were colonized by CCP, and our passports and ID cards were controlled by their system … but they still left us some autonomy. For example, our Internet does not need VPN, and most of our government service applets use different applications from Chinese mainland …
Or OSM can add an “optional” area, which looks like a part of China on the surface, but it can be highlighted by searching, or just remove the “province” from the font label and make it bold (just like Macao and Hong Kong, in fact, Hong Kong and Macao are the same country as Guangdong, but the evil CCP divides us into three regions, which makes us unable to exert our full strength).
You are free to download OSM, and change it how you want locally. But don’t upload this to OSM, as it’s about the reality now only. In all seriousness, you won’t get public support by holding "Hong Kong and Macao are the same country as Guangdong“ either.
