I saw only a few topics on this, and the main one I came across seemed to suggest a merge or something, thanks to an admin (or someone higher up).
What occurred was I signed up for a new account with my current email address (Proton). And then I browsed nearby users… and discovered my old account from eight years ago (Gmail). Being that kind of person who hates duplicate accounts, I deleted the brand new one, recovered my old password, logged in to the old account and attempted to change the old email address to my current one.
Unfortunately, that email is already in use now, even with the fresh account deleted. I’m unable to swap to it now.
Could anyone help with this? I feel like I royally screwed up within the span of thirty minutes lol
