Can I view a new image and a new GPS track at the same time in iD?

I admit I didn’t read the question carefully, but the following trick may be useful nonetheless:

I"m not sure if you knew that you can drag and drop a gpx file (and several other geocoded formats such as geoJSON) from Windows Explorer into a started instance of iD, which is a bit obscure trick. That has the same effect as “Edit map”, but it does not upload the file into the public OSM library of traces.
