can I integrate the map with my DB

hi,
i have no experience with the openstreetmap.
i am looking for an option to put data on the map from my DB,
the data is for houses for sale i want them to apear on the map with pins on the map, rolover the pin will show the information.
can i do that?

You need to use a map tiles API such as OpenLayers. You can find out more about OpenLayers on the wiki (http://www.openstreetmap.org/). CloudMade’s Web Maps Lite is an alternative (http://www.cloudmade.com/).
