Bum New York GIS links

I’m trying to do some editing in eastern New York state (US), and the imagery layer called “NYSDOP Latest Orthimagery (natural color)” doesn’t come up. A small link given at the lower left of the editing window tries to go to “http://gis.ny.gov/gateway/mg/index.html” which is 404, so I suspect the general syntax for calling some NY GIS tiles needs to be updated. Interestingly, the “infrared” and “hillshade” layers do come up, it’s just the “natural” one that borked. Can someone look into that?

I’ve been playing with the native NY GIS map viewers, so the data is obviously there [in multiple years with settable transparency, yet – pretty cool to fade them in and out].

What editor are you using? In iD I get what you described:

In JOSM there is a imagery source with a similar name that works:

The place I used for the check is this one near Albany: OpenStreetMap

I suspect some problems in the communication between iD and the image source. Unfortunatly I can’t say more about the problem.
