Brisbane Queensland Australia showing up as being in India
On Facebook, whenever someone is travelling to or from Brisbane Brisbane Queensland Australia (Australia’s third largest city) the map always displays Brisbane as being somewhere near Vijayawada India.l, however if I search for Brisbane on here it has no problem finding the correct location…

Please elaborate—was this on openstreetmap.org or somewhere else? Could you walk us through the steps you took that make Brisbane show up as being in India?
I’m not the OP, but using the Facebook check in with the “traveling to” feature, if you type in Brisbane as the place that you’re traveling to, it automatically diverts to an Indian actor’s page and shows up as traveling to India
Facebook has never used OSM for actual POI data and it is very very very unlikely that that has changed.
The question should clearly go to the Linux Foundation as Facebooks data supplier Contact Us | Linux Foundation (just a tiny bit trolly). Or naturally Facebook directly, but you are even less likely to get a satisfactory answer there.
