Boundary problems

I’m updating the flow of the River along the southern border of Lamahi municipality.

But I’m realizing now that I have changed not only the river, but also the boundary. And in an inconsistent way, sometimes dragging the boundary with the river to the new location, sometimes detaching them, so it ends up being a messy zig zag line, e.g. here OpenStreetMap

I’m trying to understand what’s the right way to fix this. Following this thread, I’m assuming the boundary is not necessarily equal to todays flow of the river. And furthermore I’m gathering that river and boundary anyway should not be glued to each other (even if the geometry is basically the same).

Would it be ok to take the local_units.geojson from this git repo as a reference to update the boundary?

PS: I came here through this HOT project: https://tasks.hotosm.org/projects/34294

Could you please share any updated ward level data vector format ? Would be much appreciated.

Sorry, I don’t want any appreciation.

Thank you for your response. I think there was a misunderstanding of some sort here.

I saw in a post in this chat thread where you shared a google drive link for wards in Nepal which is expired now. Could you reshare that data?

If you want ward level data of admin boundaries of Nepal, you have to visit Survey Department, Min Bhawan, Kathmandu and purchase the data. I am not allowed to share ward level data, forget what was shared in the past.
