There are some big pages in the Wiki, with a lot of images that takes several seconds or even minutes to load. Like this one: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/ES:Colombia/Señalización-Preventivas
Is this normal? what can I do?
It is not a bandwith problem from my side (400 mbps), and the page does not load partially, I mean first the html structure, and then the pictures. It simply shows the blank page.

This is a known performance issue affecting any page containing more than around a dozen images from Wikimedia Commons. Other pages related to traffic signs are also affected by this issue. The only workarounds for now are to split up the page so that each page only has a few images, or to replace the images with links to the images.

Is it actually worse than with local files?
It seemed to me that pages with many images, also local, load poorly.
