Bbbike Cycle extract tiny on Garmin

Hi,
I’ve tried exporting several maps from BBBike exports of OpenStreetMap data (OSM, Garmin, mapsforge etc.) and they all work as expected, except for the Cycle map, which while looking similar to the opencyclemap layer it’s incredibly tiny in comparison to other maps to the point where it’s unusable. Here is one map compared to the Cycle extract of the same area.

Is there a way to get a Garmin img of the opencycle layer/style which isn’t so tiny or is that just intrinsic to the map style at the same zoom level?

What sort of Garmin device is it?

It’s a Forerunner 965 watch. It’s only the export of the opencycle map which is unreadbly small, the other 10 or so I’ve tried are all similar in clarity at the same zoom levels.
