Barrier rendering

Should those barriers draw a bit bigger icon and higher zoom levels while rendering default OSM maps?

Currently barrier icons are so small, I hardly can see if road is blocked by barrier e.g. on mobile screens.

Could you be more precise which barriers do you mean? Screenshots with links to example places might help.

Hi, I’m talking about barrier=gate. They are visible beginning at zoomlevel 17 and higher only. And when they are rendered, they have so small icon which is hardly visible on smaller screens.

On Finnish maps, they are using big cross (X) over the road in order to show the road concerned is blocked from public.
