Australian national border - possible leftover of border generation

I assemble boundary=administrative areas with admin_level=2. I found a closed way Way: 184341355 | OpenStreetMap east of australia is tagged as admin_level=2. It seems the way is a very old leftover from generating the australian national border.

Can this way be deleted?

I reached out to the original contributer and he confirmed that this is an artefact from generating that border. I deleted the artifact.
