Aside from tagging a road "one way", how do you tag these signs?

These two:

  • One Way
  • Do Not Enter

It normally wouldn’t be necessary to tag anything extra beyond oneway=yes; no router would violate that tag, at least for car routing. But in case you’re interested in mapping the signs themselves in detail, take a look at the MUTCD tagging guide:

https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/MUTCD/R#R5:_Exclusionary

The codes in the “Designation” column are what you’d put in traffic_sign=US:(code) on a freestanding node.

Thank you for that information. I was unaware of that tagging method.

I’ll leave them out for now.

Here in Germany the (equivalent of) “Do not enter” can also occur on roads which aren’t one-way-streets. In those cases you need to work with turn-restrictions.
