I have just added a kissing gate and a wheelchair combination gate pair around this existing gate. The images show the location taken from the north looking south.
The originally mapped central gate was tagged horse=yes, but I think a cattle grid should make that horse=no.
I’m happy with the kissing gate addition (right hand side, second image), but open to any improvement suggestions.
I am interested in how I should map the wheelchair accessible gates. Currently I’ve mapped each gate, but I wonder if there is a rare existing tag that might be more appropriate. There is a seasonal element for this gate too. The are cattle in the field to the south, October-April I think, but I need to check. The gate are usually left open when the cattle are absent. Just as well as I’ve seen wheelchair users swear at these gates, so I guess they might be an experiment. I’ve never seen the combination anywhere else.
So, how might these objects be better represented?
While there are cyclists in one image, this is not a designated cycleway, that is about 50m west. However I’ve not seen any signs prohibiting cycling on this track. Another check needed.
