An off-topic space/category

Doomscrolling, especially in light of recent events, is another factor that we should consider. I say this because since Discourse encourages reading, I don’t think it is wise to have it encourage me to read off-topic threads that leave me feeling hopeless.

create “Offtopic” Category
“Topics that are not about OpenStreetMap or do not fit in any other category.”

for example:

  • we can discuss general Map / Geo related topics
  • opendata / wikidata / Wikipedia …

In the https://weeklyosm.eu/archives/15985 there are not OSM related categories / news:

  • “Did you know …”
  • Other “geo” things

And the “what3words” is not OSM related —> so Off-topic here.
